[personal profile] lilrinnieb asked a pretty valid question, and I thought I'd post the answer here for everyone:

Q:  Are we allowed to do prompts from previous weeks as long as we tag them accordingly? That is, can we go back and use a prompt from a previous week, or are we just SOL if we don't get the prompt done during that week and that week only?

A:  You can use prompts from any of the weeks you want as long as you tag them (week 1, week 2, etc.) and tell us which prompt you use.

Also, keep in mind that you don't actually have to include the prompt in your freewrite.  Maybe you started out thinking about a certain prompt, and then your freewrite piece didn't include any mention of the prompt because you ran out of time, or the piece veered off in a different direction.  You can still list that prompt.

I should have done this sooner.  Thanks yhibiki for reminding!  I've set the community tags options so that all members can edit and create tags.  I've also added everyone's screen names as tags, and "week 1".  From now on, let's try to tag our stuff with our screen names and the week number?

=D Happy writing, everyone!

Welcome to the community.  I hope that we can all get to know each other and have a little fun as well as write and share ideas.  This community is supposed to be a very no-stress one.  No one is obligated to use the prompts, or post, or anything.  No one is obligated to comment on things or read things either, but I do think that creating things from the same prompts and then reading what other people have done with the prompts is a great way of getting to know each other, not to mention a great way to keep our writing fresh in a no-stress environment in the process.  =D  This is meant to be fun and is also meant to be a group thing.  I hope we'll all become good friends!

Obligatory mission statement out of the way now.

Prompters' Sign-Up
I will update this post with prompters.  I think doing 8 weeks at a time is good.  Please don't sign up for consecutive weeks if you can help it.  Remember: you're obligated to do the prompting (minimum of one prompt-post for the week, but however many you'd like) or to find a replacement if you can't do it.  Sometimes we just don't have the energy we thought we would, and that's okay!  Just tell one of the mods and we'll try to find someone else.   You'll receive a reminder via email (all prompts will have to post their email in the comments of a screened email post) two days before your week starts =D

Looks like all the weeks for the next two months are filled.  Hurray!  Thanks, everyone!  Can't wait to see what you've come up with =)  New prompters' sign-up will be up September 20th.  Please remember that you can also sign up as a back-up prompter by commenting on this post =) We'll contact you if a prompter is MIA or has to drop her/his week.

From the Observation Deck by Naomi Epel: Create a need. Make your character want something, whether it be something as simple as a glass of water, or something as important as findingTheBookorI'llDIEOMG. "Humans beings are constantly yearning. Every moment we are wanting something. Even if the desire is not to desire. Or if the desire is to desire."
